The Management of the University of Lagos regrets to inform the general public that the 51st (2019) Convocation Ceremonies earlier scheduled to hold from Monday 9th to Thursday 12th March, 2020 have been postponed.
Any inconvenience occasioned by this postponement is highly regretted.

Earlier: UNILAG 50th Convocation Ceremony: 271 Students to Bag First Class Degrees As 12,811 Students Graduate
The University of Lagos, UNILAG has disclosed that 12,811 students will graduate from the school during its 50th convocation ceremonies which is scheduled to hold from April 1st – April 5th, 2019. A total of 12,811 students will receive their degrees, diplomas and certificates at this year’s convocation. Seven thousand four hundred six will receive first degrees or diplomas, while 5,405 will receive postgraduate degrees.
271 students would be awarded first-class degrees, with 56 are from the Faculty of Engineering. 2,277 students would receive second class upper degrees while 3,116 would get second class lower degrees. 1,197 will receive third-class degrees and 131 graduating with pass degrees.
3 students emerge as best graduating students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.96. There names are Ogechi Ekeh from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Oluwaseyi Adeyeye from the Department of Insurance and Daniel Ogbechi from the Department of Business Administration.
Honorary doctorate degrees would be conferred on the founder of Zenith Bank, Mr Jim Ovia; former Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Lateef Okunnu; and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to deliver the convocation lecture titled, ‘Nigeria Rising: The Path to Prosperity.

INVITATION CARDS FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS
Each graduating student is entitled to two invitation cards. The invitation cards and a complete set of the academic outfit made up of gown, hood, cap and scroll, would be available for collection on presentation of receipt/teller for payment at the College/School/Faculty/Institute as appropriate. Convocation Brochure and Academic outfit are to be collected at the various locations earlier mentioned. Graduants should attend the convocation at the time allotted to them.
N.B: Graduating Students are expected to complete their registration seven (7) days to the convocation ceremonies, indicate their interest to attend and comply with car park instructions.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS on behalf of the entire University community congratulates all graduating students. Please be assured that certificates would be ready for collection immediately after each ceremony upon the presentation of ALL necessary clearance.
