The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements Bursary 2021 is for undergraduate students who are busy or starting with their first year of study. The bursary supports students who are studying in the fields of Civil engineering, Construction Management, and Information and Communication Technology.

You will need to be a full-time and registered student at a tertiary institution in the province of Gauteng to apply for this bursary. Funding for the GDHS Bursary is only for full-time undergraduate students for the year of 2021.

About This Bursary/Company

The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements (GDHS) is part of the South African Government. This department is responsible for accommodation and housing in South Africa.

Their main responsibility is to build new settlements for residents, but also to upgrade existing settlements for new to come technologies. With all upcoming technologies, it is important to implement these to cities and smaller settlements.

In order to apply for this bursary you will need to fulfill the following requirements

  • You are a SA Citizen
  • You are living within the Gauteng Province
  • You are between the age of 18 and 35
  • You have (recently) completed your Matric
  • You are registered for a full-time undergraduate study in one of the above-mentioned study fields
  • Your Undergraduate course is at least 360 NQF credits
  • You must start your study in the current year
  • The University you are registered is approved by the Higher Institute of learning and it is residing in Gauteng
  • You can show strong Academic skills
  • You are not allowed to have other Bursaries or Sponsorships
  • People who come from Disadvantaged backgrounds and with a household income of less then R3500 a month will have an advantage.
  • They welcome people with disabilities to apply for this bursary.

The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements Bursary will cover the following things:
